Minister For State For Industry
The Honourable Minister of State for Industry and the Chairman of the Asian Economic Development Committee (AEDC) signed a landmark agreement on 30 January 2026 for the establishment of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Assembly Plant in Nigeria.
The agreement also covers the nationwide rollout of EV charging infrastructure and the transfer of EV technology to Nigeria. Valued at $5 billion, this investment marks a significant milestone in the development of Nigeria’s EV sector. A major step forward in driving sustainable industrial growth and accelerating clean mobility across Nigeria.
