Support For The Creative Industries In Nigeria
We have driven a significant transformation in the creative industry in Nigeria through the establishment of a $5 million Creative Fund in partnership with Providus Bank.
This initiative provided non-collateralized funding to filmmakers and content creators, enabling the execution of large-scale projects that were distributed on global platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. In addition, over $1 million was disbursed as grant funding to more than 100 creatives, supporting movie premieres, comedy shows, music concerts, fashion and leather training, hairstyling programs, and art exhibitions. Notable beneficiaries of this initiative include Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Tiwa Savage, OdumoduBlvck, Timini Egbuson, Titi Ogufere, Omoni Oboli, Alibaba, and AY Makun.
Furthermore, the program has trained and empowered over 10,000 creatives across eight states in Nigeria, significantly contributing to the growth, visibility, and global competitiveness of the Nigerian creative economy.
